Planning on voting for John McCain?

Regulations governing the financial industry, which were in place since the great depression of the early 1930’s and part of Franklin D. Roosevelt’s New Deal, were revised by the Gramm Leach Bliley Act of 1999. This bill spearheaded by Phil Gramm is largely to blame for the present chaos. Mr. Gramm until recently was Co-Chair of John McCain’s presidential campaign and his most senior economic advisor. They are very good friends. They receive huge amounts of campaign money from the financial industry.

John McCain also wants to deregulate Social Security. That means he wants to let you put your retirement money in the stock market. Most independent annalists claim that aside from the high risk involved, you and I will collect less and the financial industry will grow very rich due to fees and trading costs.

According to a recent AP/Yahoo poll, racism is alive and well in this country. If you are going to vote for John McCain just because he is white, you may get exactly what you deserve. Those of us who put people first, and not government and big business, who believe that we are all God’s children, don’t deserve what might well be the results of your prejudice and bigotry. Please stay home on November 4th.
