In solidarity to these brave students, 6 walkers from New York plan on walking to Washington D.C as well and they will be leaving April 10th.
The NYSYLC will be hosting a Walk-a-Thon on April 10th for those who wish to walk but can walk for a month.
Along with this walk we need to get funds and collect non-perishable foods. Not only do the walkers need food and clothes but they also need a place to sleep.
By April 19th they reach Delaware. I wanted to know if you could help me find somewhere for them to sleep or maybe plan an event around their arrival to welcome them to Voices. They will be leaving at 7 in the morning and they will only need a space somewhere because walkers will have sleeping bags and such. Please let me know if this is possible and if not there is still other ways you can help. Thank you for your time.
