    Pilgrims are running bearing a torch honoring Our Lady of Guadalupe, in a sixty-day journey from The Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Mexico City, Mexico to St. Patrick Cathedral in Manhattan, New York.     The 2011 Georgetown Christmas "Balloon" Parade is set for Thursday, December 1 at 7 p.m. The route will remain the same as in past years. More than ever, the Georgetown Chamber wants to showcase our very special Town and community by making the Georgetown Christmas "Balloon" Parade especially festive this year. The theme in 2011 is "A Vintage Christmas" and Georgetown Chamber of Commerce hopes to have scores of entries that will represent the beautiful diversity of Christmas celebrations from days gone by.

    In March of this year, Caesar Rodney Institute’s Center for Economic Policy and Analysis released a technical study of the methodology behind Delaware’s prevailing wage system.
